This tour can cater for group sizes from the lone traveler to 20 visitors.The 11-days tour is designed for you to experience many of Ireland’s iconic historic and coastal attractions. The tour is rich on history and the culture of the Irish people. It incorporates many of the signature points on Ireland’s famous <a href="https://www.toursbylocals.com/blog/entry-wild-atlantic-way"target="_blank">Wild Atlantic Way</a>. At the end of the tour you will feel you have really come to know Ireland and all it has to offer.The itinerary for this tour of Ireland is:Day (1) Arrive and be collected at Dublin Airport or elsewhere by arrangement. From Dublin you will tour to the beautiful early Christian site at Glendalough, Co. Wicklow. From here you will then transfer to Belfast City in Northern Ireland for a two-night stay.Day (2) A full tour of Belfast’s political landmarks, including Falls and Shankill Roads and the ‘Peace Lines’ that still separate the communities in this city which suffered considerable strife up to the 1990’s. The tour will also visit the Crumlin Road and Ardoyne area, as well as the landmarks in the City Centre area. In the afternoon you have the option to visit the Titanic Exhibition or Crumlin Road Jail, or perhaps get in a bit of shopping, if you’re interested.Day (3) You will leave Belfast and tour on the scenic Antrim Coast Road. Optional visits to The Giants Causeway or Bushmills Distillery are available. The tour will move on in the evening time back over the border to Donegal Town for a two-night stay.Day (4) you will travel to Slieve League, one of the finest views on the Wild Atlantic Way. From here you will cross the border again to Derry/Londonderry, where if you are up to it we will walk the walls of the only remaining walled city in Ireland.Day (5) You leave Donegal and head south to the lovely town of Westport, Co. Mayo. From here you will travel through the stunning Doolough Valley into County Galway and to the town of Clifden for an overnight stay in Connemara.Day (6) A day to see the best of Connemara including Roundstone Village and the fine scenery of the Clifden area. Your day ends in Killarney, Co. Kerry, where we will base ourselves for four nights.Day (8) A full day’s touring on the Ring of Kerry incorporating magnificent views of The Skellig Islands and The Killarney Valley, with its awesome lakes and mountains.Day (9) Another day of magical coastal scenery on the Dingle Peninsula, visiting Dingle Town and touring the Slea Head Drive, scenery which heavily featured in the film ‘Ryan’s Daughter’.Day (10) Today you will Tour to County Cork and visit Blarney Castle and Gardens, you can ‘kiss the Blarney Stone’. From Blarney you will travel to the lovely coastal town of Kinsale, Co. Cork, for a late lunch and sightseeing.Day (11) Today you leave Killarney and travel to the medieval city of Kilkenny, with the option of visiting Kilkenny Castle.
