You will explore the depth of Mekong Delta which Dong Thap Muoi Explore, Sampan Hand Rowing in the Cajuput Tree Forest, Ancient House… We will have such a relaxing time to wander through the jungle, row hand boat through the water canals, walk into the local flower farms, lotus ponds, bird parks… Yes, it is far from Ho Chi Minh City - around 2,5 hours driving to the southern Mekong Delta.

This was a fantastic experience. We were very concerned about not getting stuck on a touristy tour. Lee took us to his home town village near the delta. It is high season and we probably saw less than 5 tourists during the entirety. And Lee is very knowledgeable, sharing historical and political context as well as personal stories thrown in. We learned a lot from Lee M and the variety of experiences packed into a day was much appreciated. While it is a long way from HCM, Lee was consistently helpful and knowledgeable about the activities we did and also about the history of Vietnam. We also didn’t see many other tourists which we took as a sign that the day was a bit off the beaten track… we didn’t feel like we were just one of many. The van we travelled in was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Thank you Lee!
Your Mekong Delta tour itinerary
- 7:30AM Start from Saigon to Cai Be around 2 hours by private car. We will visit the Cai Be Village and Tan Phong island. Then we will stop at some local factories, such as fish sauce family factory, net rice paper for special spring roll house, the crispy rice popcorn…, coconut factory to learn about the way how to make coconut candy here and taste some local products. After that, Leaving this island for another island by hand rowed boat through the green canals, we will have time to ride the bike to discover the slowly and peaceful local life in this village. You will roam through this island to taste some kinds of tropical fruit, listening traditional music and pick up fruit by yourself. - Lunch will be served in heart of the garden. Then we continue to Xeoquyt village one of the hidden town in Mekong Delta. We will basically do the following activities in Xeo Quyt Village: - Cajuput Forest Sampan Hand Rowing in Xeo Quyt forest - Ancient House End tour at 6:00PM.
