We had a great time with Thuyet. He kept us on schedule and provided excellent information. He’s very knowledgeable about Hanoi and ha long Bay. I highly recommend him. One of our favorite things was train Street in Hanoi. And the other favorite thing was our boat ride in the bay. He took us to amazing restaurants.
Our two-day Hanoi/Halong Bay tour was very enjoyable and enlightening. Thuyet's English skills were good and he was very attentive to our needs and requests. He integrated walking and use of the car very well and we spent no time waiting for the car to arrive. The food stops could be improved as most of the food was overcooked and there was too much food for us to reasonably consume. Higher quality and lower quantity would have been better.
We had an amazing time with Tours By Locals and Thuyet. Every detail was thought out and taken care of. We didn’t have to worry about a thing all day. We had everything handled from a great boat ride to a wonderful local meal whilst onboard. Thuyet was very educational and informative. We learned much about Vietnam and its customs. We would recommend this tour and our guide to anyone and all. Tours by locals has not disappointed us and we are grateful to Our guide and crew.

Thuyet was fantastic! He met us at the cruise ship and walked us to the boat that was near by on the pier. He had our passes ready. We were so grateful to have a boat all to ourselves that would usually have about 50 people. He toured us through the cave that was impressive. The food was fantastic and kept coming out of the kitchen. We had to say we are stuffed. We had a wonderful time and would highly recommend Thuyet and having a private boat for Halong Bay.

Enjoy a welcome drink and meet your friendly crew. We'll then set sail, deep into the most beautiful sections of Halong Bay. 11:45 AM: Explore Sung Sot Cave, the largest and most magnificent cave in Ha Long Bay. Marvel at its breathtaking array of uniquely shaped stalagmites and stalactites as you explore its grand chambers. 12:45 PM: Savory Vietnamese Lunch 2:00 PM: Continue cruising to Luon Cave. Here, you'll have the option to enjoy an exciting kayaking adventure or a relaxing sampan boat ride, expertly rowed by local people, to explore this picturesque grotto. 3:00 PM: Visit Titop Island, where you can choose to either swim in the refreshing waters of its crescent-shaped beach or trek to the peak for incredible panoramic photos of the entire bay. 5:00 PM: Return to Port. Trip ends.
