Born and raised in Ha Long Bay and now living in Hanoi, we chose Justin T. for our guide during a 1 1/2 day cruise stop. It was New Year’s week, so much was closed, but one comes to Ha Long Bay to see the nearly 2000 “karsts” jutting out of the sea. Caves, fishing and beautiful beaches are coupled with these limestone islands. . The next day Justin took us on our own private boat tour through the karsts into inlets with monkeys coming down rock face to greet us! A stop to explore Thien Chung Cave is amazing and then more Vietnamese food while cruising back! Justin has a great sense of humor and so proud of his home town! He is a great choice for your guide here!
We had a great time visiting Halong City with Justin. We visited the fish market which was a great experience. We had a delicious lunch in a local restaurant. It wasn’t touristy but more authentic Vietnamese which we appreciated very much. We visited a museum and a farm pearl. Justin was generous of his time and answered all our questions. Thanks Justin. Hope to come back to Vietnam again!
9:00 AM — I’ll pick you up right at the port or from your hotel in the Bai Chay area to start our tour. First, we’ll visit the bustling Halong Fish Market where you can see the daily life of fishermen and vendors and check out a wide variety of fresh seafood. Next, we’ll cross Bai Chay Bridge to the other side of the city and visit Long Tien Pagoda at the mountain’s base. After that, we’ll stop by Hon Gai Church, one of the largest churches in Quang Ninh province. Then, we’ll explore the Quang Ninh Museum to learn more about the region’s history and culture. We’ll break for lunch at a local spot to enjoy some authentic specialties before heading back. 1:00 PM — The tour ends with a drop-off at the port or your hotel.

I’ll provide private transportation tailored to the size of your group. For two people, I'll use a comfortable sedan like a Toyota or Hyundai. If there are 3 to 4 travelers, you’ll ride in a spacious SUV such as a Toyota, Ford, or Kia. For larger groups of 5 to 10, a roomy Ford Transit minivan will be arranged to ensure everyone travels comfortably.
