Gorilla safari in Uganda: Trekking Gorillas families in Bwindi National Park is the foremost tourist attraction in Uganda, and possibly the best wildlife encounter in the world. Here half the world's population of Mountain Gorillas live in this most diverse rainforest ecosystem. There are other primates here as well; Chimpanzees, Black and White Colobus Monkeys, Blue Monkeys, Grey-cheeked Mangabey and L'hoest Monkeys. In addition, there are 350 bird species, 200 butterflies, 27 species of frogs, 163 species of trees and 100 species of ferns.

Please note: Since Rwanda hiked her gorilla trekking permits, there has been a sharp increase in numbers of people looking at Uganda as a cheaper option for gorilla tours. I kindly request you to book in advance so as I can secure your gorilla trekking permits. Remember there are always limited number of permits issued for conservation reasons.

Befriend a Chimpanzee Private Guided Tour

On this excursion, we spend one day on the lake Victoria!

We start the day by visiting the Wildlife education center in Entebbe, at the zoo. This is the only zoo in Uganda and we get to see many animals including the Gorilla in an enclosure protected and reduced from the wild.

We will then take a boat to the Ngamba island where our main activity will be to interact and feed the chimpanzees that have been habituated and resettled here for conservation purposes. We will also have lunch here.

In the afternoon, our boat takes us to the equator line where we will see first hand how the forces of the North and South hemisphere battle along this line. The brave and adventurous get to swim in the lake and feel the thrill.

On this trip, we are showing some love to the chimps, learning about wild life and the adrenaline junkies are letting go. What a way to see Entebbe in a day!
