My name is Maulid, also known as Dutch as my nickname. I am native of Zanzibar Islands, as I was born and raised and study within the place. I started my educational journey at Primary and Secondary within the Zanzibar City where else for my high schools studies I attended Tumekuja Secondary Schools located within the periphery of the famous old Stone Town of Zanzibar. As I am from Zanzibar archipelagos which are the tourist spot in Africa with extravaganza beaches and unique tourist attractions, I decided to opt the Bachelor of Tourism Management offered at Sokoine University of Agriculture. As energetic young man I have always find my heart always being moved with staffs of interesting like swimming, readings, hangout with friends, above all traveling and explore the new places truly satisfied me. Thus, I truly considered and cherish the mention activities being the best of my hobbies. As I am now professional on the tourism sector, focusing on tour operating and guiding are the interested element I chose to focus within this sector. This trip has been carefully planned to provide you with an array of exciting activities that include feeding and petting the tortoises, snorkelling, swimming, sightseeing the beautiful scenic view of the island, walking around the beaches, taking photographs, bushwalking, and exploring the ancient Prison ruins. As we journey through the island, I will regale you with mysterious stories and local lore related to the Island that make this trip so unique. The island's tortoises, despite being giants, have aged more than two centuries, and leave me flabbergasted. I find myself gazing at them without getting bored. The sanctuary not only features the tortoises but also dozens of colourful peacocks, reserved and shy elusive Zanzibar's duikers, and birds. The island is covered with evergreen vegetation and scented seasonal flowers, making it a haven for nature lovers. Additionally, the island is encircled by crystal clear turquoise blue water that promises everlasting beauty.
We can pay a visit to the Island at any time of the day but the ideal time to start-up the trip is the morning around 09:30 am or the afternoon from 02:00 pm and the duration of the tour is 3- 5 hours. To begin the tour, we'll board a traditional wooden boat from the shore of Stone Town to Prison Island. The journey may take 30 minutes, and along the way, we'll spot numbers of magnificent islets. After ticketing, we'll head to the Tortoise sanctuary to explore the giant tortoises and take a walk around the bushes, where we can spot duikers, peacocks, and other small reptiles. Next, we'll move to the prison ruins, where we'll explore the prison and, the primitive Island entrance point, where you'll witness a spectacular view of the ocean and the Island. Then leave the Island and move a few miles away to a spectacular snorkeling spot, where we'll experience marine life and also, if you have any inquiries, please let me know I will do my best to accommodate your wishes.
