Hello there potential guest, You are about to read a short description about myself. Come and meet me - a person who loves his job - a former journalist who became a tour guide. I have been guiding for the last 10 years in Stockholm and have done over 5000 different tours in this beautiful city. I love using my journalistic experience and education to deliver stories in an engaging yet informative way that will make you, the customer, remember it for a longer time as well. Making everyone feel welcomed and included is my ultimate goal during tours, and at the same time I try to be as laid-back as possible and open to any questions you might have. I am also like you - a traveler who has been to over 50 countries so far and have no intent of stopping anytime soon so I'm sure we will have plenty of topics to discuss, be it about your previous or future travels or simply the amazing history of Stockholm itself. Master of Arts in Journalism, FPZG, Zagreb, Croatia I can not guide inside of the City Hall but can guide in the Vasa museum. I am not a driver. I can accompany you in your vehicle or I can arrange for a separate car and driver.

In this very tour we will not focus so much on history itself. Instead, I will try my best to show you how Swedes live nowadays and how they used to live in the 17th century. We'll pay most of our attention to Södermalm, the island we'll be exploring during our time together. My aim is to compare the past and the present, and to help you remember the stories using only one single word to magically connect every single story at the very end of the tour. Be prepared to walk and climb a lot but, having said that, you will be rewarded with great views for your efforts. We'll see the best parts of Södermalm, and I'll discuss shocking yet fun history along the way. Get your camera charged up and ready to take many photos and create memories. Near the end we can have a short and "sweet" break at an cosy stone oven bakery, so we'll be ready for the last part of our walk.
Meet up/pick up from your cruise terminal/hotel (not Nynashamn cruise terminal). - After we have met we will start our walk from the main street of Södermalm called Götgatan and head up for our first panoramic view of the city where you will hear a brief introduction on the history of the island. - Next up we explore the residential area where the witch trials took place followed by yet another great view and the "romantic" story with one of the most "beloved "locals in the 17th century. - After this point we will move a little bit away from the views and possibly make a break (for refreshments or lunch) or continue along with the history. - As we make it back to Götgatan we can have a traditional Fika at a cosy bakery (not included) whilst making our way to one of the best views in the whole city. - Finally, I will take you back to the cruise terminal/hotel or you can stay behind admiring the views on your own.
