My name is Josep, and I arrived casually to be a tourist guide in 2008, when I did my exams to be a Licensed Catalan Guide. So I'm not the tipical guide who studied Tourism but is not interested in other aspects. . . not, that's not my case. My case is the opposite: I found tourism because it likes me, not because I studied, it's different. I've been teaching since 2000, and I thought that touring would be more or less the same than Teaching, but with people more motivated. Also, I could talk about my subjects of interest, subjects I never studied but I read a lot: History, Art, Music, Food, Jewels, Fashion, Gardening, Catalan Culture, Jews, Politics. . . Aesthetics basically and Society, always mixed. To be a good guide you have to read and be curious, not a gossip person, but interested in the world and the people, and anecdotes are very significant to explain History and life. My background is Political Science and Economics, so subjects very different to my hobbies. I think is important to be transversal in Life, not to cultivate the same things in all the aspects of your daily life. World is becoming more and more transversal, transgobal, and I can offer a service touring people interested in curiosities, anecdotes and comparison to other cultures, but seeing the Catalan point of view, with content and synthesis. And also manners. To be a guide you need to be patient and also to be a good listener. So don't wait and book a tour with me! I'll show you Catalonia and all the peculiarities of this smart land !! Degree in Political Science (Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona) Diplomma in Business Studies ( Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona) Catalonia Licensed Guide-Number 2787 Studies of Ballet, Sol-fa and Transverse Flute, (Conservatori de Música Oscar Esplà-Alacant) I am not a driver. I can accompany you in your vehicle or I can arrange for a separate car and driver.

If Charlemagne founded Andorre, why is it so important in Girona? Wait, you will know it after the tour. . . We walk through that ancient city, discover the old Cathedral, the widest Gothic aile in Europe!!!, later we go further into Saint Narcissus Church, the miracle bishop of the city. Even some sweets of the city have his name, well an eschatological one. . . you will see!!! Games of Thrones directives liked that city so much that they filmed some scenes. . . you will recognize them. . . Jews are very important in the city, they have an incredible museum, and a mikveh very well preserved. I can show you more of the Jewish heritage of the city. Girona has many faces! After we can choose: Or we can embrace Dalí's legacy (and madness maybe) visiting his epilogue museum in Figueres. That's the windiest city of Spain, they say. . . wind and Dalí? maybe Or we can go to the beach, the picturesque Tossa, where Ava Gardner had an affair with Mario Cabré, and where Marc Chagall lived and painted.
