Hi everyone, My name is Darel. Very energetic young Seychellois from the Island of Mahe: which is the main island of the Seychelles archipelago. I has always been interested in my county's history since an early age and kept learning about it throughout my scholar years I stumbled upon tour guiding accidentally when a group of friends from abroad asked me to show them around the island, I did so and the little knowledge that I had proved to be very useful, so they advised that I do it full time, so I enrolled myself in a formal course in that field I graduated with flying colors at the Seychelles tourism Academy in the field of tour guiding and now 8 years later I am still loving the job. What a great way of spending a few hours on Mahe Island. Join me on this once in a lifetime tour. Start by visiting the Botanical gardens: home of the giant tortoises and the famous coco de mer. Then we'll go through Victoria, the vibrant & colorful capital of Seychelles, there we shall visit the Hindu temple followed by the Victoria market which is ever so busy with the sweet aroma of fresh spices. The iconic Clock tower is next on the agenda as we shall stop for some very memorable photos. Will then make our way up the Sans Soucis road towards Mission lodge not forgetting to have a quick stop by the bel air cemetery: the oldest one dating back centuries. Mission lodge & its astonishing view are next on the agenda followed by the tea factory where a range of locally produced tea is available to purchase. The last stop will be at one of the most beautiful beaches the island has to offer. Thereafter you will be dropped back to the hotel
Our guide Darel was wonderful! Despite some intermittent downpours and some planned highlights under construction, Darel planned a fabulous tour to make sure we saw and learned a lot. We enjoyed seeing Victoria and many other parts of Mahe, enjoyed the rum distillery and a nice lunch. Darel is very knowledgeable, has a great sense of humor and seems to know everyone. He's got a lot of information and energy to share. If you come to Mahe, Darel is your guide!

Our half day Mahe tour with Darel was wonderful. We got to see not only the major sights but also the local life on the island. Because of some mobility limitations he customized the tour just for us.
Drove all over Mahe, and waited 1 hour while we ate dinner, then finished tour
Darel provided an excellent tour for us. He is obviously proud of his beautiful islands and that shows in his detailed commentary. His van was comfortable for our group and complimentary water and umbrellas were provided. Rainy weather shortened our planned beach time so Darel added another attraction for us — the beautiful botanical gardens where we were amazed at the giant tortoises. Darel is a fine guide. He is thoughtful & knowledgeable. I would highly recommend him.
Darel is a wonderful guide--very personable and well-informed. He knows his island and wants you to share his knowledge of and love for it. We didn't get to do the entire tour, because of unexpected time constraints--ours, not his--but he did a great job of giving us an excellent tour in the time allotted. He is an intelligent, hard-working young man who will do his best to customize your tour so you will get to see the things that interest you and skip the ones that don't.
