Overview of your Lisbon tour
Join me for a full-day private tour exploring the Peninsular Wars, with a special focus on the French Invasions that occurred between 1807 and 1811, events that profoundly shaped the course of the country's history. We’ll visit some of the region’s most iconic locations, including Vimeiro, the site of one of the most significant battles. Here, the Battle Interpretation Center will take us on a journey back in time. After Vimeiro, we’ll continue to explore several interpretation centers of the Linhas de Torres, a defensive network of over 150 fortresses built around Lisbon. This remarkable system played a crucial role in defeating Napoleon's troops With me guiding the way, watch Portugal's rich history and culture come to life before your eyes.
Your Lisbon tour itinerary
Pick up - Approx 45 min drive to Vimeiro, visit the Interpretation Center We will also visit the Interpretation Centers of Torres Vedras and Sobral. At lunch time we may have the chance to taste one of the most exquisite spirits of Portugal, the Lourinhã Brandy. Before returning to Lisbon we will still have the chance to visit one of the most emblematic forts of the line that helped defend not only the land but also the Tejo river. The Itineraries and schedules described on this page are the standard ones for this tour. As this is a private tour, and no one else will join your group, the tour is fully customizable according to your preferences.

Depending on group size and availability our transports are always made on a premium sedan/estate (Mercedes E or equivalent) or a Mercedes Van. All cars are equipped with wi-fi, cooler, leather seats, multizone air conditioning, and privacy windows. Although the maximum capacity of the van is 7, we set the maximum number to 5 so that the middle seats are not taken and there's more room and the middle seats are not occupied. But we can take up to 7, so if your group is larger than 5 please get in touch so we can create a customized tour.
