Don't look any further, Luis was a FANTASTIC guide! Luis picked us up at our hotel in Lisbon and we headed to all the sites that I had told him we wanted to go visit. We spend three days touring with Luis from Lisbon to Porto and back to Lisbon. We visited Sintra, Colares, Duoro Valley, Aveiro and areas in between. We were there during some major storms with lots of rain and Luis did a fantastic job getting us everywhere safely. Luis is very knowledgeable with all the history of his country. We had lunch with him everyday and learned about new foods we were trying. He took us to get "green wine" at a small family run business which was a treat. He happily answered my hundred questions. I would recommend Luis to anyone, we were able to talk about everything beyond Portugal, he is the best parallel car parker I have ever meet. How he got his car in those tiny spaces is beyond me. He is also a certified guide! He responses to all your emails and is very happy to give recommendations on anything you want to see, he will also let you know if the hotel area you have picked is a good one and where to eat the "food" you need to have while visiting Portugal. Our party of 4 delighted in a unique and well thought out tour from our downtown Lisbon hotel to Sintra on a dreary rainy day. Luis wasted no time with lineups, shared his encyclopedic knowledge, showed us through Quinta da Regleira (fantastic & spectacular!), tasty pastries in central Sintra, a short hike & incredible vista from Sancutary Perinha, a three course lunch & closed with a great tour and tasting at the Cellars of Colares. - Start your day with a guided visit through Sintra’s most iconic landmark; Pena Palace or the masonic garden of Regaleira. -Visit Sintra’s historic center and have some free time to taste the traditional pastries of the region: the famous “Queijadas” and “Travesseiros”. -Be amassed by the beauty of the landscape mixed with the colors of the ocean at Sanctuary of peninha, definitely a highlight on this tour. -We'll then stop in a vineyard path, located close to the sea and subject to strong sea winds.
