Olá from Lisbon! My name is Cecilia, and I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Art History. I was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and moved to Lisbon ten years ago—quickly falling in love with this city’s light, history, and quiet magic. I’ve been guiding since 2006, first in Buenos Aires and now in Portugal, and what I enjoy most is creating meaningful connections between travelers and this beautiful country. Lisbon is one of Europe’s oldest capitals, a place where tradition and resilience are part of daily life, and I love helping visitors understand its culture, stories, and unique personality. My tours blend history, art, architecture, and local culture in a way that is accessible, engaging, and deeply human. Whether you prefer a relaxed walk through charming neighborhoods or a customized itinerary tailored to your interests, I’m here to create an experience that feels personal and memorable. I can also arrange private transportation when needed, through trusted professional drivers. Looking forward to welcoming you to Lisbon and sharing the city I’ve come to call home. Warm regards, Cecilia RNAAT Nº 34/2025

This tour is designed as an introduction to Lisbon for travelers who wish to go beyond a surface-level visit. Rather than focusing only on dates and monuments, we explore the city’s cultural traditions, political shifts, artistic heritage, and everyday life. Along the way, I provide historical context and interpretation to help you understand how Lisbon became the city it is today. Our route includes some of Lisbon’s most emblematic areas — São Pedro de Alcântara viewpoint, Bairro Alto, Chiado, Largo do Carmo, Baixa Pombalina, Alfama and Mouraria — combining well-known landmarks with lesser-known corners. Expect narrow streets, stairs, and hills, as Lisbon is a city best experienced on foot. The pace is relaxed and conversational, allowing space for questions and discussion. By the end of our walk, you will not only have seen Lisbon’s highlights, but gained a deeper understanding of its identity and complexity.
On our tour we will discover; - São Pedro de Alcântara viewpoint - Bairro Alto - Baixa Chiado - The culture of coffee and sweets - Bertrand bookshop - Santa Justa lift - Rossio train station & square - Baixa Pombalina - Ze Cathedral - Alfama castle hill This is my suggestion, but of course I can tailor the experience considering your interest, available time and preferences.
