Walking along the Tagus River, we'll continue to the Monument to the Discoveries, where a giant world map brings the routes of Portuguese navigators to life and shows how their voyages connected continents and cultures. We'll then cross into the heart of Belém and explore Praça do Império before stopping at the historic Pastéis de Belém bakery to taste Portugal's most famous pastry and learn about its connection to the nearby monastery. Our journey culminates at the magnificent Jerónimos Monastery, a masterpiece of Manueline architecture, where we'll discover how faith, wealth and exploration shaped one of the most remarkable chapters of Portuguese history. We loved this tour and we loved Ana. We had two 9 year olds with us and she took extra care to make sure they were engaged and interested. She is a very outgoing person and very comfortable to talk to. I highly recommend Ana for your tour.
A really great way to appreciate several important monuments that speak of Portuguese history and culture. Ana expertly explained the historical and political significance, with balance and humor. The coffee and Pastel de Nata was an added bonus! Fully recommended.

We all absolutely loved Ana for her immense knowledge, enthusiasm, and ability to communicate. She was very helpful, meeting us at Belem train station and doing the tour in reverse so we'd finish where we needed to be for the afternoon. This tour's a brilliant way to see all the main sights (we were so so glad to have a registered guide to sail past the HUGE queue at the monastery). This is a fantastic tour and Ana was a joy to listen to.
