Hello everyone my name is Andreia, I am 42 years old, born and raised in Douro Valley. I love to communicate and my dream and passion has always been to work as a tour guide in my beautiful Region Douro Valley. I got admitted in the Portuguese university Utad to study Tourism but didn't finished my degree because I had the chance during that time to go work in Switzerland, a country in which I lived and worked for 16 years. There I developed my german language skills and I was constantly in contact with many nationalities. I also speak Portuguese and English. In the last 2 years I've been working as a private guide in Douro Valley. I love getting to know people from another countries, new cultures and provide them with authentic experiences. My goal is really to show you the best from Douro Valley - good food, good wine, breathtaking landscapes and the most important warming and genuine people that love to have you as guests. Overview of your Douro Valley tour
Private, unique and memorable sailing trip! The departure will be in Pinhão. Along the way, you will have the opportunity to admire the spectacular landscapes of Douro and its vineyards, while sailing smoothly on the Douro River, enjoying the tranquility and silence, having a delicious breakfast in the boat with regional food products; An experienced sailor will be your host and happily will answer any questions you may have about the Douro Region. After the cruise you will have lunch in a local restaurant in Pinhão, a place with delicious food and beautiful views over Douro River. After that we will visit 2 family Quintas (Estates / wineries) and taste their wonderful local wines.
Your Douro Valley tour itinerary
- The experience begins by picking you up at your hotel in Peso da Régua, Lamego, Vila Real or in a meeting point around the Douro valley in a comfortable Mercedes Vito Van. - I will take you to the Boat departure in Pinhão for a boat trip which duration is around 2 hours - Arriving in Pinhão - For lunch we will go to a local restaurant in Régua - After lunch we will visit a small Winery (Quinta) with breathtaking views and taste table wines, Port wines ; - Stop in a beautiful viewpoint -Visit a family winery / Estate - Quinta - - After this visit is finished, I will take you back to your hotel. * Itinerary can be customized upon request.
