Full-Day Wine tour and boat trip in Douro Valley

Andreia brings a wonderful depth of historic and local, personal knowledge to the tour. They and their families worked the vineyards. She, and her wonderful husband driver, are so kind and caring. We had a lovely visit to a small local winery where they still crush grapes by foot in concert containers. We stopped at beautiful locations to allow us to take photos and enjoy the scenery; the roads are so curvey these breaks are appreciated. I really enjoyed the local restaurant in the small, non-touristy village. Our highlight was the port stop with its wonderful wine host; he made our day by his enthusiasm and kindness.

The care and attention paid by Andreia to the Douro Valley, its winemakers, the wines, the food, the history and most important, my family, were first class for a full and long day. I highly recommend her tour services.

Really wonderful tour! Andreia and her husband are super friendly and very knowledgable about Douro valley and clearly have a passion for the region and its history and culture. The full-day trip was very comfortable in a Mercedes minivan with a cooler and plenty of water. We drove about an hour stopping at overlooks and the views are absolutely breathtaking. These roads are twisty and difficult and it was great to have a driver so that we could focus on the view. We visited two charming local winemakers with interesting stories, toured, tasted, and walked amongst the vines. Then we had lunch at an unassuming but delicious authentic local restaurant. Finally we took a boat ride down the Douro that capped off the day perfectly. Highly recommended!

We went to Portugal for our honeymoon and this tour with Andreia and her husband, Valdemar, was the highlight of our trip! Andreia was very communicative and picked us up at our Airbnb. We did the tour with 2 winery stops and a 1 hour boat ride. Each of the wineries gave us a tour and explained the winemaking process. The people at each winery were very welcoming and it was clear they know Andreia and Valdemar well. One winery even let us taste port directly from the barrel. We also got to taste olive oil produced at the wineries and it was so good we bought some to take home with us. We can’t recommend Andreia enough!! You won’t regret booking this tour!

This is the best tour we’ve ever had! Communication prior to the day of the tour has been great and with quick responses. Andreia arranged to pick us up from our Quinta (1 hour away from her starting point). And even offered to adjust our itinerary to best get around the extreme heat. We had a great time, learned much, and felt we made new friends. Highly recommended and will definitely join the tour again if we’re back in the region.

What an amazing day exploring this beautiful UNESCO recognized region! Andreia and her husband Valdemar, our driver, were a knowledgeable, friendly, caring and passionate about sharing the details of their home region with us. They had selected two lovely Quintas for us to learn about the history of this wine region and their lunch pick was a fun locals frequented restaurant with fresh local fare. Great experience and recommend this experience to anyone looking to learn more about the Duoro region
