Hello everyone my name is Andreia, I am 42 years old, born and raised in Douro Valley. I love to communicate and my dream and passion has always been to work as a tour guide in my beautiful Region Douro Valley. I got admitted in the Portuguese university Utad to study Tourism but didn't finished my degree because I had the chance during that time to go work in Switzerland, a country in which I lived and worked for 16 years. There I developed my german language skills and I was constantly in contact with many nationalities. I also speak Portuguese and English. In the last 2 years I've been working as a private guide in Douro Valley. I love getting to know people from another countries, new cultures and provide them with authentic experiences. Douro Valley offers a unique landscape with breathtaking views, fantastic experiences, wonderful hotels, substantial food, high quality wines - Port Wine, DOC Douro and Muscatel wines. Let's visit outstanding viewpoints, taste amazing wines, very balanced olive oil, delicious food and enjoy unforgettable moments. As a local, born and raised in this paradise I would love to take you to the authentic Douro Valley visiting family Quintas (Estates/Wineries) that produce wine already for several generations. My goal is to provide you with a fantastic tour and that you feel that you are in family.
Your Douro Valley tour itinerary
The experience begins by picking you up at your hotel in Douro Valley ; Visit an historical family estate/ winery and taste premium table wines , Porto wine and olive oil ; Stop in a fantastic viewpoint of indescribable beauty in the Douro Valley. For lunch we will go to a regional restaurant in Douro Valley a place with very tasty food, Portuguese food ; After lunch, we head towards Pinhão and visit the beautiful train station We will do a Rabelo boat trip of 1 hour in Pinhao After we finish the boat trip we will continue our tour along the EN222 road, which in 2015 was considered the most beautiful road in the world. Visit to other small Family winery - Wine / Porto wine tasting, a very informative visit ; Pick up and Dropp off is included when your hotel is located in Douro Valley * Please note, that this tour is 2 guests but can be customized upon request, for more guests ( maxim 10 ) ; Do not hesitate to contact me.
