Hello everyone my name is Andreia, I am 42 years old, born and raised in Douro Valley. I love to communicate and my dream and passion has always been to work as a tour guide in my beautiful Region Douro Valley. I got admitted in the Portuguese university Utad to study Tourism but didn't finished my degree because I had the chance during that time to go work in Switzerland, a country in which I lived and worked for 16 years. There I developed my german language skills and I was constantly in contact with many nationalities. I also speak Portuguese and English. In the last 2 years I've been working as a private guide in Douro Valley. I love getting to know people from another countries, new cultures and provide them with authentic experiences. Overview of your Douro Valley tour
In this fantastic tour we will take you to visit a family Estate turned 100% to the olive oil production . You will go in a Jipe and cross the vine terraces, a landscape of grape vines; olive trees and breathtaking views over the river . After visiting the fields it's time to get some energy with a lunch at the house from the owner of the olive oil estate , the meal has a lot of olive oil . Our next stop will be in a wine Village with a lot of history in Douro Valley ; After that we will do a driving tour through the panoramic roads and cross iconic areas like Pinhão and Régua. To finish this unforgettable day we will visit a small Quinta and taste their wines, Port wine / dry wines!
Your Douro Valley tour itinerary
- The experience begins by picking you up at your hotel in Peso da Régua, Lamego, Vila Real or in a meeting point around the Douro valley in a comfortable Mercedes Vito Van. - Visit a family olive oil estate , the owner of the estate will take you in a Jipe to see the vineyards and olive trees, it will be a time of some adventure , enjoying the natural beauty from Douro Valley; - Lunch at the house of the owner of the olive oil estate ; Visit a wine Vilage monuments - After lunch, we head towards Régua and Pinhão along the EN222 road, which in 2015 was considered the most beautiful road in the world. - we will visit a small family Winery (Quinta) with breathtaking views and taste local wines. - After this, I will take you back to hour hotel. * This itinerary can be customized upon request.
