Hello everyone my name is Andreia, I am 42 years old, born and raised in Douro Valley. I love to communicate and my dream and passion has always been to work as a tour guide in my beautiful Region Douro Valley. I got admitted in the Portuguese university Utad to study Tourism but didn't finished my degree because I had the chance during that time to go work in Switzerland, a country in which I lived and worked for 16 years. There I developed my german language skills and I was constantly in contact with many nationalities. I also speak Portuguese and English. In the last 2 years I've been working as a private guide in Douro Valley. I love getting to know people from another countries, new cultures and provide them with authentic experiences. My goal is really to show you the best from Douro Valley - good food, good wine, breathtaking landscapes and the most important warming and genuine people that love to have you as guests. Overview of your Douro Valley tour
Join me in the tour where we will visit 2 small family Estates, and taste very high quality table wines Red / White /Rose and the iconic Porto wine ; We will also visit the wine village of Provesende; The first winery to visit will offer you very good table wines but will be also an authentic gastronomic experience with amazing food products all local from the Douro Valley Region ; After this visit we will go to the village of Provesende and make a small walk around this historical place in Douro Valley to see the monuments, the architecture Heritage from Douro has in Provesende the best representation. We will stop in breathtaking viewpoints and have a delicious gastronomic experience - lunch in a typical Portuguese restaurant! After lunch we will visit other small winery where you can taste Premium table wines and Porto Wine;
Your Douro Valley tour itinerary
Our experience begins by picking you up at your hotel, trainstation in Peso da Regua, Vila Real, Lamego, Douro Valley area. We will go in the direction Galafura and our first stop will be in a fantastic viewpoint. Visit to a family Estate / Winery -Quinta. Time for wine tasting and food products tastings; Lunch Visit the historical Village of Provesende. Visit Pinhao Visit and tastings in a small family winery After this visit, we will take you back to your hotel or the place where you are staying. * This itinerary is organized for 2 persons but can be customized upon request for maximal 10 persons.
