Overview of your Krakow tour
Half day tour to Wieliczka salt mine with me as your private driver. I am able to work for you only as your private driver for this tour, in Wieliczka salt mine you will join guided tour in a group with local tour guide. During our ride from Krakow to Salt Mine I will give you an introduction about the history of Wieliczka salt mine. Wieliczka Salt Mine is located about 15 km from the centre of Krakow. That is the oldest Salt Mine in Europe still functioning since the medieval times. In 1978 it was entered on the UNESCO's first World Cultural and Natural Heritage List. Tourists visiting the mine walk down 360 steps into the salt mine. The tourist route is a system of mine excavations from 64 to 135 meters below ground level. The groups of tourists follow the 2-km route passing the chambers, corridors, chapels and underground lakes. Duration of the walking tour in the mine is about 2, 5 hours.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time and our tours with Krzysztof. He is very friendly and easy to get to know. His knowledge and insight of all the places we visited was phenomenal; the city tour including our visit to Oscar Schindler's Factory Museum, the Salt Mine and during our drive to Auschwitz. We were especially impressed with all of his knowledge and details of the Jewish Quarter. We also enjoyed our casual conversations with "Christoph" about his family, politics, etc. That he also has a taxi license was very helpful as he could navigate the streets where other vehicles couldn't go and that kept us moving! His restaurant recommendations were excellent and much appreciated too. Thank you Christoph!

The driver was excellent. I think the title of 'Private Tour for Two' is misleading because all Chris was able to provide was transportation service. We were then added to a large group to tour the Salt Mine.
