I’ve been working as a tour guide for over 9 years, starting from scratch and gaining experience with some of the largest tour operators in Lisbon. Overview of your Lisbon tour
Discover Lisbon in one full day with a private guide, combining history, culture, and the city’s most iconic viewpoints in a relaxed experience. Start at Parque Eduardo VII for panoramic views over Lisbon and the Tagus River. Continue through Príncipe Real and Bairro Alto towards the city center. Explore Chiado on a walking tour through elegant streets, historic cafés, and traditional shops, passing by the world’s oldest operating bookshop. Continue through downtown Lisbon, visiting Largo do Carmo and enjoying views from the Santa Justa Elevator. On the way to Belém, stop at LX Factory. In Belém, discover Jerónimos Monastery, Belém Tower, and the Monument to the Discoveries, with time to taste the famous Pastéis de Belém. On the way back, stop at Time Out Market, where you’ll have free time for lunch. After lunch, continue to the Old Town, visiting Commerce Square, Lisbon Cathedral, and the National Pantheon, ending with a walking tour through Alfama.

Goncalo did an amazing job with organization and execution of this Lisbon tour. He showed us the city from all major vintage points by driving us around in his luxury car, as well as did some short walks to reach the interesting points along the way. His knowledge of the city and country history was deep, and without him it would be impossible to get to know Lisbon as well as we were able to do in such a short time. It really enriched our visit to such a beautiful city full of history.

We had a very nice tour of Lisbon with our guide Goncalo. He is high energy and extremely thoughtful in all of his actions. His English is very good and he was well understood for all the information he had to offer for the sites we saw. We toured on one of the hottest days in August and I would say that the A/C in his van needs improvement...the only negative thing I can say about his tour. When back in Lisbon I would very much consider to rebook with Goncalo. Abrigada!
