Allow me to personally invite you to an interesting tour that will give you a clear understanding of Hungary's history, culture, every-day life, mentality, and architecture. I will first offer an overview before we dive into the turbulent and exciting history of this country and its capital, Budapest. Tell you about the unique beauty of each district, take you to gorgeous open air parks, luxurious avenues, magnificent churches. Today the most trendy, bohemian place is the Jewish district, which incidentally used to be the infamous Jewish ghetto during World War II. We will explore this, too. The entire city is pregnant with history if only the stones could talk. I will, however, do my best to speak for them and gladly share my passion and my knowledge with you. I answer any question you may have regarding the country or city of Budapest. I look forward to taking you on a tour that I hope you will keep it in your memory.
Barbie was the highlight on our tour of Budapest. She assisted us in developing a workable itinerary, she was prompt and very friendly with a wonderful sense of humour. Because of hot weather, we nearly cancelled this tour. We are so glad we didn't! Barbi Fodor is a wonderful companion and guide. She made the day a complete joy, providing a steady stream of interesting details as we made our way from Heroes' Square to Buda, and up to the Fisherman's Bastion. Barbi was always up beat and sensitive to our need for rest stops and cooling drinks. We so enjoyed the day that we asked her to join us for wine after, so we could continue the conversation. This tour was amazing! Barbara answered all of our questions about the culture and history of Budapest. The tour she put together was a fantastic overview of the city and I cannot imagine visiting Budapest without a tour with Barbara. Her kindness and enthusiasm is undeniable. She is very patient, kind, informative, and flexible. She helped us find a bank, allowed us to stop to look at the market, and got us the best chimney cakes in Hungary! She also snapped photos of our family for us. Amazing tour!!
Barbara was amazing. Our group of 9 people felt we got a great introduction to the city of Budapest with lots of wonderful historical information on the 6-hour walking tour. Barbara was personable and friendly and her English was excellent. Very knowledgeable and answered questions well. Lots of walking. You don't go inside of structures due to time constraints. Excellent overview of many highlights of the city. Highly recommended.
We had a wonderful time with Barbara. She was very patient and professional. we also went to the Labyrinth which was not part of the tour and finished the tour eating lunch in a nice restaurant recommended by her. Barbara was a great companion to have around Budapest. Informative, helpful and flexible. Would recommend her without a moment's hesitation!
