In my spare time I enjoy fishing, hashing and hiking. My favorite place to hash/hike was an intense hash that began in birchgrove ans finished at the popular river for river tubing. The journey took us through farm lands, up the mountain, across a small river, we passed near a natural spring and over a bridge. The biggest fish catched weighs about five pounds. Since November 2016, I have help many cruise ship passengers and hotel guests in many areas, from airport pick up to designing unique island tours for which we hike to a waterfall, charter catamarans, arranging snorkeling trips and hotel day-passes. The town of st George was and still is the center of economic activity in Grenada. The Town of St. George is derived from the 18th-century Fort George, which is the first fort built on the island. Fort George based on a small hill offers panoramic views of the town and the horseshoe shaped carnage harbor. A few minutes walk away is the national museum and historical churches, the scott kirk , the Anglican and Catholic churches, House of Chocolate and the market square. The house of Chocolate is a fairly new addition to the town, it offers a unique charm and is a paradise for chocolate lovers, with information on the cultivation and the process of chocolate making. They also carry all the chocolate bars from the five chocolate companies. The National Museum is a time capsule, with information, pottery, weapons and books on pertinent to Grenada and Caribbean.
My sons and I really enjoyed our walking tour of St. George’s. It’s a cute town with interesting history. Roger was the perfect host; knowledgeable, friendly and well informed. He met us exactly as planned and his pre-tour communication was excellent. He gave us lots of insight as to his life as a local, which was just what we wanted. Highly recommend Roger B!
Roger is a marvelous ambassador for Grenada. He picked us up on time, actually he was early! He adjusted our day to fit what we needed. He introduced us to a local brewery and showed us much of the island. He is so knowledgeable for being young!!!! He is currently completing a residency for pharmacist. I enjoyed learning about him as well as the spice capital of the Carribean.
