Hello! My name is Cindy. I am a licensed International Tour Guide. I live in Beijing, and I have been a licensed tour guide for more than 7 years. My passion for the history and culture of my country, combined with my excellent fluency in English, had me considering and exploring a career in Tourism. I love to share the history and culture of my country with visitors, and I have never become tired of it. The more groups I take, the more my knowledge increases as well as my enthusiasm. I try to make it a shared journey of exploration and learning, and this makes me a world traveler without having to leave Beijing! Our country is so old and has such a long, complex history that it is fun to find out what others would like to know about my country. I always learn something from my groups on every tour. That is why this profession is so exhilarating! I am so lucky to work in a profession I enjoy and so satisfying to offer all my foreign visitors an experience so enriching that it leaves a long lasting impression in their hearts and minds. I asked my friends and colleagues to help me to describe myself to others. Let me share the ones that they used more often to describe me: Enthusiasm: They felt that I am so enthused about my country and my zeal to share it with others that my tours fairly bubble with this integral quality. My passion to share my history and culture with others is what brought me into tourism and I was so glad to hear that this inherent quality is obvious! Curiosity: They said that I am constantly asking them questions! I always want to know how I can improve the visitors' experience in my groups. This early quality of mine has not only endured but helps me to be a better tour guide and offer a comprehensive experience to my visitors. Professional and Pleasant: I am so glad to have grown into this job. It is definitely my profession of choice and yet after seven years, time has not jaded me! The groups generally come with an eagerness to see, observe, mix, learn, experience and absorb with their senses the Chinese surroundings, sites and cuisine. One can only be pleasant and agreeable in such company! China is second in the world with 50 UNESCO heritage sites. Beijing is an old town. It has over 3000 years of recorded history. It would be my pleasure to share my knowledge of popular sites such as the Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City, and Great Wall etc. I am also prepared to take you to equally amazing but less known places abroad, such as the old Hutong district, the market place, local restaurants, and help you to savor the current culture in a historical context embedded in this ancient city! Can you imagine enjoying a Peking Duck dinner in its hometown? Makes one salivate, hmm! The variety of cultural exhibits on view in Beijing is amazing. You can choose from a 2000 year Tea Culture in China, the Beijing Opera (Peking Opera), the quintessence China, a scenic art integrating music, literature, acrobatics and stage-acting or the Kung Fu show, at the birth place of this ancient martial art of the monk? China is known for its many inventions that impacted the world. Allow me to share some of these fun facts with you. Interested in museums? It will be my pleasure to introduce to you to the revered antiquities of this nation. Choose from the National museum, Beijing museum of Natural History, China Science and Technology, the Art museum and many, many others. I can arrange public transportation to explore the city with me, or, alternatively, I can arrange a vehicle with a driver for you if you want an easier trip. Food tasting? I can take you to try a lot of local cuisine, such as; Chinese Dumplings, Peking Duck, and other local food. Are you adventurous enough to try scorpion? Let me know how many people you are together and your preferences. I will customize a tour for your special needs. Come and join me! I will help you to have a memorable experience! - I have been a licensed tour guide for more than 7 years. - I have worked for my government tour agency, and some other private tour agencies. - I have experience in different types of tours, such as: Private tours, Business tours, and Group tours. I believe I have exceptional experience to arrange everything for you and make your trip unforgettable. I am not a driver. I will of course accompany you in your vehicle or I can also arrange for a separate car and driver.

Overview of your Beijing tour

Wow! I find that the very best part of visiting Beijing is in the early evening and partaking in the night scene! It brings me great pleasure to introduce you to another aspect (softer side) of the Chinese capital city. The city looks so different at night than during the day. Beijing comes alive at night with buildings lit up highlighting their architectural features. The Houhai Lake, Pipe Hutong, Olympic Park, Bird's Nest Stadium, Water Cube, . There are street markets and street foods in which the Chinese people love to partake. If your travel includes a layover in Beijing, this tour will give you memories you won't forget! Private and comfortable transportation with an experienced guide and driver will allow you to get from/to your hotel (or airport) to all the fantastic places effortlessly. The foodie (me) will also take you to taste some local food as your preferences. You'll be impressed with the night views with Beijing all lit up in lights.
