Hi, my name is Kane and I’m your guide for the Daintree Rainforest. I'm a proud local of Cape Tribulation, what I believe is the the lushest corner of the planet! I’ve spent my life geeking out over every creature and leaf in the Daintree Rainforest. Seriously, I can talk about the tiniest bug or the tallest tree for hours, and I love sharing that knowledge, especially with the little explorers who get wide-eyed when they discover just how bizarre and beautiful nature can be. My brain is a sponge for all things rainforest and reef, and I’m on a mission to pass that passion on to everyone I meet. Beyond the trees and critters, I have a special bond to the local Kuku Yalanji people, whose deep understanding of the land and traditions has shaped my approach to conservation and storytelling. Their perceptiveness about the forest’s rhythms and the interconnectedness of all things has inspired me in countless ways, and I feel honored to carry forward their respect for this incredible place. When I’m not trekking through the rainforest, you’ll find me submerged in the deep blue of the Great Barrier Reef as a scuba diver. The underwater world is its own kind of mind-bending ecosystem, and diving has helped me connect with nature in a whole new way. Between the rainforests and the coral reefs, there’s so much magic waiting to be discovered. So, if you're into the weird, wonderful, and wild side of our planet, I’m your guy.

Time to leave the Big Smoke behind and get "lost" in the beautiful nature of the Daintree. I love taking visitors to Cooktown because it holds such a special place in my heart. Growing up in Cape Tribulation, where my family settled over four decades ago, I’ve developed a deep connection to the history, the people, and the breathtaking landscapes that surround us. We will drive the iconic Bloomfield Track, a 4WD lover’s dream! Once we reach the indigenous town of Wujal Wujal we will explore sacred Falls and I will tell you more about its cultural significance to the local Kuku-Yalanji people. I consider myself very lucky, being able to share a special connection to the real locals of this area. It’s a place where you can truly experience the spirit of North Queensland, and sharing that with others feels like sharing a piece of my family’s legacy. PS. 1- or 3-day tours are also available - just get send me a message!
