I have been a teacher handling children, youths and adults providing for them tours around Kenya with emphasis in my town Malindi.
I have been in active local tour guide for two years now, offering tour for various types of tourists.

A tour to Gede Ruins is a tour to the history itself. It is a national heritage that covers history dating back to over 900 years ago.

The place is an Arab-Swahili settlement that was abandoned in later times.

With my deep knowledge of Arab/Swahili history you will enjoy the tours with detailed fun-filled knowledge. You will get to learn the rich history of this town and its medieval civilisation, original Swahili lifestyle and economy.

Gede ruins tour - from Malindi

Join me in this private tour of Mekatilili wa Menza the great Mijikenda Colonial Resistance heroine, and learn how the Mijikenda were led by a woman to resist British Colonialism in the 19th and 20th century.

Get to see the cultural centre established in honour of her heroic achievements. There is a stature of Mekatilili wa Menza established by the County Government of Kilifi which has the philosophy Mekatilili used in fanning her resistance: a tell of how she took a hen with three chicks and asked a British officer to pick on chick, after which the mother hen revolted by fighting off the British officer to secure her baby chick. A metaphor she used of how she will vigorously defend her people.

Also learn the traditional dance she used to rally the community behind her and enjoy the traditional food that have been cherished by this community since then.
