My name is Apolline, and I have been living in French Polynesia since 2016. My husband, our two children and I chose to move here to give our family a life closer to nature, traditions and the human values that are so important to us. Over the years, I have become deeply passionate about Polynesian history, culture, landscapes and people. Before becoming a hiking guide, I worked as a kayak guide, including introducing transparent kayaks to Moorea, and later as a jet ski and quad guide. These different experiences allowed me to know both the lagoon and the mountains, and above all to listen carefully to travelers. Many of them asked me how they could access waterfalls, hiking trails, more hidden places and more authentic parts of the island. This is what inspired me to create private experiences designed to discover Moorea from the inside. To me, Polynesia is best understood when you take the time to walk, listen, meet the right people and respect the places you visit. Hiking is also a gentle and more responsible way to explore the island, with a lighter impact on nature. I have also built partnerships with local providers in order to offer richer days combining nature, culture, traditions, local know-how and relaxing moments, while supporting the local economy. I have created programs that allow visitors to truly discover the island and Polynesian culture, but I am always flexible and happy to adapt to specific wishes. That is the real advantage of a private tour. From the beginning to the end of the day, my guests are personally accompanied by me. I am their driver, their hiking guide, and even when we meet my local partners, I stay with them throughout the experience. I never simply drop people off. The day is intimate, personalized and reassuring, with full care from start to finish. I hold the required sports qualifications, the local driving permit that allows me to transport visitors, and I use a comfortable air-conditioned vehicle that can welcome from one to eight guests.
