Chile Winter Hiking Patagonia June-September
Come hike the infamous W trek in Torres del Paine south Patagonia. Each season has special details and can be enjoyed all year around in all types of weather.

WINTER W is a 5 day trek due to lack of boat transportation and stay is in Mountain Refugio
** This tour should be PRE-BOOKED AT LEAST 6-8 MONTHS IN ADVANCE especially during HIGH SEASON (Nov/March) due to new camping regulations.

W Extreme Active 6 days includes hidden valley, British camp above the French Valley, Las Torres, Grey

This 5 day adventure is a 4 days hiking the W trail and includes a full day horse back ride to Camp Serón, part of the circuit trail.
The idea is to hike and enjoy your time on the trail. Each evening after showers you have time to relax a few hours and enjoy the areas you camp in, take photos or stretch. We will wake up and have breakfast according to daily km needed to cover.
Day 1- Puerto Natales to Park, check in camping/refugio Central, set up tents y hike Base of the Towers 20km, daypack only
Day 2- Full day Horse Back Ride to Serón & River Paine, Camp Central
Day 3- 15km Hike along Lago Nordenskjöld as we wrap around the mountain the views change by the hour, Camp Frances has the best hot showers
Day 4 - 25km up the French Valley, day pack will be needed as large back is left at Ranger station below Camp Paine Grande on Lago Pehoe
Day 5- 22km hike Grey Glaciar - day pack- early start at 730am, back for 5pm to cross over Pehoe by boat where auto will be waiting
Meeting Location + Tour Duration
Meeting location: First day upon arrival we will meet for a briefing after settling in and go over your backpack details to ensure a light comfortable hike.
If would like to hike without weight and require a porter, please advice so that service can be provided. A local porter is $120 us dollars per day extra or 70,000 chilean pesos.
End location: On day 5 private transfer will bring you from the Park to Puerto Natales. Transfer can be made by bus schedule to Punta Arenas with my help in schedule and known flight times.
Duration: 5 days
We will have a van bring us into the park early the first day and hike that day. Last day a private van will be rented with driver to get us back quickly and comfortablly so we do not have to wait 3 hours for bus.
Bus tickets cost around 15$ round trip from the airport in Punta Arenas to Puerto Natales.
Breakfast, Lunches, and Dinners, as well as all snacks such as trail mix and chocolates, hot teas and real coffee for the 5-day trip, are all included.
Due to the quality of food in the mountain huts, I cater to our daily meals. We enjoy cooking and you will eat well. I like cooking healthy as well as make it a more real experience.
4 season Marmot 2 person Tent,

Camp Porter is included for carrying supplies as all food, cooking gear, camp gas, pots and utensils and tents will be packed in.
Transfer to the park on Day one will be private vehicle dropoff at our first campsite
Transfer on the Catamaran boat across the Lake Pehoe on day 5 if needed
Estimated Local Cash Needed
200 dollars - You will need lodging upon arrival in Puerto Natales your first day, nice hostels can be booked for 40$US. As well as last day lodging and food if stay depends on flight schedule and you do not go directly to Punta Arenas day 5. Also if you wish to buy a glass of wine or have a cold beer in the refugios you will need extra cash. There is wifi in most of the refugios.
Bus transfers from Punta Arenas to Puerto Natales, on
your first day as well as lodging that first night in Natales and food.
No plane tickets are included and SCL is the airport code in Santiago where you then will need to fly to PUQ Punta Arenas Chile.
Direct flights are now available from Puerto Natales to Santiago price is different but saves the three hour bus ride from Puerto Natales to Punta Arenas if you are pressed for time.
Also connections can me made into Calafate Argentina if you are coming in from that side it is an option that is five hours from Puerto Natales Chile if your trip takes you into Argentina.
If you would like a personal porter to carry your pack weight and most of your gear that also can be arranged. Make sure to ask, you can expect to pay around 100 usd for a personal porter per day.
