Chile's icon product is wine and precisely the Maipo Valley, close to Santiago (one hour trip), is one of the most traditional valleys producing wine in Here. Weather, as well as its soil, make of this valley an ideal one for producing ; Cabernet Souvignon, Merlot, Carmenere, Shirah and Malbec varieties. Some of its most distinctive wineries here are; De Martino, Santa Rita, Cousiño Macul, Concha y Toro, Aquitania and Undurraga. In this tour you visit two of them.
In these tour you will see how the vineyards are prepared, how wine production process is carried out and, of course the most important thing: taste the so famous Chilean wines on its origin. For the Maipo Valley; we travel 50 minutes south or south west (depending on the chosen wineries) of Santiago city, to the Maipo Valley itself, where you begin your visit of the first chosen winerie and, after visiting it and trying its wines, we go to our second winerie, having lunch on the way, depending on your chosen itinerary or simply enjoying the Classic Maipo Valley on our way.

Our visits and wine tastings at 2 vineyards were incredible. More incredible was out guide-Victor is truly a gem...perfect English, charming, and a fount of knowledge (historical, cultural, and political). In addition to our trip to the vineyards we were treated to a wonderful overview of all the neighborhoods and environments we went through. It truly was a perfect day. And just an aside- Victor could hold his own driving in New York City, or any other very congested, metropolitan environment!
