We will visit together Kourion, an important ancient city-state, to admire its Greco-Roman theatre and the beautiful mosaic floors that survived for centuries.
Driving west we will discover the wonderful legendary birthplace of the Goddess of Love and Beauty: Aphrodite's rock. . .
Paphos Archaeological Park is inscribed on the World Heritage List of UNESCO for its outstanding ancient remains! Let's admire the unique mosaics of Dionysos and take a look at the pillar of Saint Paul as well as the catacombs. Also we will see the ruins of the largest Basilica in Cyprus.
Next, you will have the chance to enjoy a break at the little fishing harbor and, if you like the idea, a delicious lunch in a local restaurant.
Meeting point: Limassol hotel area or harbor.
Drive to Kourion to visit the archaeological site, the theatre, and the mosaics.
Right after Pissouri village first stop by Aphrodite's rock (viewpoint).
1 km further down the road, a second stop just next to the Rock for a closer view and eventual comforts.
Drive to Paphos, head for the harbor's car park to the south of the city (Kato Paphos=Lower Paphos) passing through the Upper town (Pano Paphos).
After a walking tour in the archaeological park to admire the mosaics you will have free time to enjoy the harbor and lunch (optional).
Walk back to the car park and drive back to Limassol via the Paphos tourist area.
