Shore excursion in the fortified town with a private guide
Don't be frightened of a walking tour. When you dock in Fredericia you'll have the feeling of being in the middle of the town. The town is small and very walkable.
As we walk through the old fortified town, we pass the old town hall and the catholic church from the 1700ds. Sct. Michaelis church is still a garrison church. Our route takes us past the statue of The Brave Soldier on the square named after him, Landsoldatpladsen. The splendid cannons and mortars stand proudly on the ramparts, and we also see the White Tower (Det Hvide Vandtårn), one of the town's icons.
We pass the Jewish burial ground with approx. 550 graves and an important historic reminder of the diverse populations pattern of Fredericia's population over the centuries.
We visit the town museum with several houses depictiong the history of Fredericia.

Seeing the most important church/churches and graveyards with war memorials.

Walking on ramparts and in town. Fredericia is a very small town and very walkable; half a mile from the pier, and we are in the centre of the town. The tour is only 2 1/2 miles long in total.
