The Golden Ring of Russia in One Day with a private guide
This is the tour not to miss for an insightful tourist interested in real life of Russian province. The visit to Suzdal, one of the oldest Russian towns, takes you to the atmosphere of the mediaeval life in Russia, while Vladimir, the old capital of Russia, impresses by its rich history, unique frescoes of Assumption Cathedral and Golden Gates. Vladimir and Suzdal are top tourist attractions of the legendary Golden Ring of Russia protected by UNESCO World Heritage organization.
We use transportation by train for this tour because it saves a lot of time and give tourists the opportunity to see Suzdal and Vladimir in one day. In Vladimir you will see the Golden Gates built in 1164. The gate survived the Mongol destruction of Vladimir in 1237. Our next destination - the Assumption Cathedral - was founded by Prince Andrew the Pious in 1158 on a high hill next to Klyazma river.
After lunch we travel to Suzdal to visit Suzdal Kremlin and Saviour Monastery of St. Euthymius. The architectural ensemble of the monastery is included in the UNESCO world heritage list. We may also visit Museum of Wooden Architecture and Peasant Life. Please, note, that all museums have different days off thus the actual list of attractions you will see depends on the day of the week you choose for this tour.
