history of the city, nations and religions of Vilnius, which formed nowadays capital of Lithuania
Do you know who were the last pagans in Europe to take Christianity? Yes, Lithuanians. Don't you find it strange that in the main city square there's a monument for the pagan ruler of Lithuania but not for the only one king Lithuania ever had - king Mindaugas? Would you believe if I said that once we had app. 100 synagogues and praying houses in Vilnius? Why are there streets, named "Russians'", "Germans'", "Jews'" etc. ? Are there "mummies" only in Egypt? No, also in Vilnius - you can see 3 saints in the Orthodox church of Holy Spirit.
You will find out the answers to these questions and more about this city and its history, what influenced the architecture and the way it is nowadays.

We'll walk through narrow streets of Old town and observe the buildings, churches from XV-XIX centuries. I'll tell you everything you should know in order to fall in love with this city. Agneta was great. She was very informative about local history and important buildings in Vilnius. We appreciated her flexibility on time and informally. We sat down in a coffee shop at the end of the tour for other this we could do on our own and drew directions on a map. She followed up with us regarding other questions we had.
