A tour of sites of the Viking age in Copenhagen and around, over a long day or divided in more days.
In Copenhagen the viking past we go to get an introduction at the National Museum.
we then go by train to Roskilde, Viking Age capital of Denmark. By the fjhord lies the Viking Ship museum with the five Viking ships rediscovered in 1962 and now displayed. Visit the museum island with it's boat building workshops.
Roskilde cathedral is an UNESCO heritage site and burial church of Danish Royalty.
Visit to National Museu, in Copenhagen, Ancient History and Vikings Collection.
Train journey to Roskilde (40 minutes, nice commuter train).
Visit to Roskilde Viking Ship Museum
Lunch (not included in price)
Muesum Island: Boats and handicrafts bwing worked with historical technology in workshops.
City of Roskilde. Possible visit to Cathedral (entrance fee). The 11 century Cathedral holds tombs of 18 Danish Monarchs, and is a UNESCO Cultural Heritage site.
Time in centre og Roskilde.
Return to Copenhagen by train.
Tour extension possible to Trelleborg Site (ekstra 3, 5 hours).

1) I don't join groups for shared costs, to avoid mismatches.
2) Please inform arrival pier, if you come by cruise. Langelinje is central. Ocean Pier is further from the centre.
3) Only exeptionally, I can take groups by car.
