Villas and typical veneto gastronomy
This itinerary starts with the main icon of Palladian architecture, Villa La Rotonda, a symbol of art and spiritual life situated in the Valley of Silence. Just five minutes walk away is Villa Valmarana ai Nani, the villa with the most important series of frescoes by Giambattista Tiepolo.
After the Valley, in the Berici Hills, is Villa da Schio a seventeenth-century abbot dug out of the side of a hill. Its walls are decorated with wood, and ruins and statues of airy divinities dot the garden. Finally a winery can be found inside the hill and a typical lunch can be enjoyed in the restaurant.
