This walking tour will let you discover hidden gems and secrets of Venice from a local point of view! We'll discover Campo dei Frari before reaching Dorsoduro, the largest painting on canvas of the world inside the San Pantalon Church, the liveliest campo of Venice called Santa Margherita and the locations of the movie "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade". Do you remember the library where Indiana Jones traces clues about the Holy Grail ? I'll explain this and much more, reaching the historical squero for building gondole and walking to the "zattere", I must tell you: my favourite area in Venice!

The walk starts in Campo San Tomà (waterbus stop lines n. 1 and 2 San Tomà), we'll walk through part of San Polo including Campo dei Frari (Frari Church), and reaching Campo Santa Margherita and Campo San Barnaba. We'll visit the fondamenta delle Zattere with a wonderful view on the Giudecca island, San Trovaso workshop for building gondole (outside). We pass by the Peggy Guggenheim Museum and we'll discover the secrets of Ca' Dario and of the Salute church, one of the plague churches of the city.
Finally we'll reach Punta della Dogana, the former Custom House of the Republic of Venice.
