Eager to see the world, by the age of 18 years old I already had explored all over Quebec and across Canada all the way to Jasper and back. Two years later, I moved to Vancouver Island and fell in love with the area. I have been here for the past 15 years and planning on staying for a long time.
After graduating from ITMI (International Tour Management Institute) I had the opportunity to guide in several areas in the United State and in Canada, especially the west coast and the Rockies. Love the Rockies!!
Being a mother of two beautiful daughters has kept me closer to home, for the time being, and I now specialize on the history of Vancouver Island; mining, gold rush era and First Nation. I have very good knowledge of hiking spots and hidden gems as well and love to surprise my guests with our amazing wines and craft beers.
I consider myself as a person with; Positive attitude, adventurous with a great problem-solving ability (there is no problems, only solutions).
My favorite "traveling" music is Blues, but anything with a good rhythm will do. I love seafood, especially when paired with a tasty wine.
To be able to share the place I fell in love with is not a job, it is a passion.

We had a lovely day with Mari and really loved the walks that we did. Mari was very responsive throughout the process from pre-booking to implementation. She even stopped at Costco for us and gave us the nicest treats (something she did not need to do). Her personality and casual style fit right in with us.
