Visit Valparaiso: the "Jewel of the Pacific" combined with some of the best wineries in Chile
Drive northwest of Santiago to Casablanca Valley to visit an organic winery, Viña Emiliana. Here we will do a short tour and learn about organic and biodynamic wines and try their wines on a great tasting. Then we continue to Valparaiso, known for its colorful houses, murals, and picturesque port of Chile.
We will visit the main Congress of Chile, Italian Square, Victoria Square and the main square, Plaza Soto Mayor, before starting our walking tour of the "cerros". We'll get to ride in one of its famous 19th-century funicular elevators to the top of the hill to see the best overview of the bay and enjoy the spontaneous architecture. We will walk to the recently designated a UNESCO World Heritage district and discovered the labyrinths and their staircases, quiet corners and secrets; it's here where the charm of the past blends with the taste and color of the port and the daily life of the inhabitants. Then we will see the contrast with Viña del Mar, popular beach-resort, well-known as the garden city.
