Experience the beauty of Malta's capital
The city of Valletta, Malta's capital is a fine example of a fortified city of the Renaissance located on a hilly peninsula between two of the finest natural harbours in the Mediterranean.
The knights of St. John's, now universally known as the Knights of Malta, aided by some of the most respected European military engineers of the 16th century, planned the city as a single holistic creation, with a uniform grid plan within fortified city walls.
The grid-planned city is representative of the island as a whole and within its limited boundaries is reflected some of Malta's richest heritage.
We will meet next to the Harbour or at the entrance of Valletta and then we will make our way to the Upper Barracca Gardens, which offers a spectacular view over Malta Grand Harbour.
Then we will stroll along the typical streets of Valletta focusing on the most historical buildings that dot the city core, visiting either a museum (Archeological Museum or Grandmaster's Palace)or a nobleman's private home.
We will spend most of our time visiting St. John's Cathedral, Malta's gem. The whole church is a work of art superbly expressed in stone, marble sculptures, mosaics and paintings.
Tour may end in Valletta so then you can stay for some shopping or make your own way back , As per request.
