Renowned by its strategic location in central Chile, Valparaiso boasts the nickname of "pearl of the pacific" for its thriving commercial and mining activity during more than a hundred years that it left a remarkable sign in the architecture and historic landmarks of its streets, plazas and old buildings. Located at 110 KM from Santiago this capital city port is been founded over 42 hills featuring an outrageous city plan unique in Chile.
After touring Valparaiso, we head to Viña del mar for another sightseeing of a beach town considered a gateaway for locals in Santiago with refined old manoirs chateau styles, some modern hotels and condominiums with a well manicured open green spaces that it makes of Viña del mar the so-called "la Ciudad Jardin" garden city. .

This day tour Valparaíso and Viña del mar starts in Santiago or international airport and/or bus terminal then it ends back in town (Santiago) or at the airport and/or bus terminal.

A Recent Review of this tour

Another great day with Juan Carlos. He adjusted his departure time to accommodate our need to be back by 5:00pm. The day itself was interesting and we were happy to have done the tour. Worth seeing once but it is unlikely we would go back. If you are interested in the area I would highly recommend Juan Carlos for the tour.
