Congo Square, Treme, Marigny, St. Roch
Why stay in the French Quarter when some of the most unique New Orleans neighborhoods are just a short distance away? This tour is designed to give a unique 'real' New Orleans experience. Here you will meet a Mardi Gras Indian in Treme, America's oldest African American neighborhood. Take a stroll through Congo Square with me and learn more about the history of New Orleans. We will visit the wonderfully eclectic neighborhood of the Marigny. Fun fact, Bernard de Marigny invented the game we call 'Craps'. We will then head to historic St. Roch to visit the most authentic Voodoo shop in New Orleans and have a meal you will not forget. The St. Roch Market is an incubator for talented Chefs trying to get funding for a restaurant. Together we search out for the next Emeril. Lastly, we will take the streetcar back to the French Quarter and to your hotel. It is a fun and unique way to see NOLA. Each tour will be custom designed to fit your needs and preferences
I will meet you at your hotel. If you are outside of the New Orleans area we will arrange a meeting place.
