No visit to Tunisia is complete without a tour of the capital, Tunis. Stroll along the medina's network of tiny alleys; amble around the souks, and peruse Roman mosaics in the Bardo Museum. After lunch, visit Tunisia's best-known archaeological site at Carthage. Stop at the town of Sidi Bou Said on your return journey.

- Heading for the Bardo Museum to admire the Roman mosaics there.

- Continue to the picturesque Andalusian village of Sidi Bou Said with Its trademark white walls, contrasting sky blue doors and ornate window grids. (a wonderful photo opportunity. ) Here you'll have a visit to Dar el Annabi, a "typical" Sidi Bou Said house.

- Visit Carthage -a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Byrsa Hill.
Continue to the Punic ports and the Antoine Baths.
