7 Hours Driving-Walking Tour
Tangier is a unique city that has been impacted by many cultures. You can see where the Mediterranean and Atlantic ocean meet. Many famous people resided in Tangier. Among them was William Burroughs, Paul Bowles (American writer) Tennessee Williams, and many more I. It was an international city where you would need a passport to get in the city. Anyone who had problems would come to Tangier for freedom. It is only a 35-minute ferry ride from Spain.
The tour includes a Driving and a Walking part.
We will be driving through the bay or corniche, passing through the main streets and residential areas (including the king's palace). We will continue to Cap Spartel which is North West Tanger before doing a camel ride near the Atlantic Ocean. Finally, we will stop at Hercules cave (2500 years old)
During the Walking part, we will explore the Medina, which is the old city, and the souks (berber markets, vegetables, fruit, and spices), before making our way through the Kasbah (old fortress).
We will stop for lunch at a local restaurant with Moroccan cuisine and a breathtaking view. We will continue with a visit to the archaeological museum and Mendoubia Gardens.
If you are interested in shopping, I can bring you to local artisan markets. Or we relax with a glass of mint tea or coffee at a local café and doing "people watching"!
After the tour, I will escort you back to the port or to your accommodation.
