You will join me for a full day hike starting at your hotel in Sa Pa town trekking down the Muong Hoa valley toward two nearby villages - Lao Chai and Ta Van.

A national treasure for the Vietnamese is the breathless, captivating view of the Sa Pa rice fields cutting through the steep terrains surrounding the tallest mountain of Vietnam - Fansipan.

As we hike through the valley, you will see up-close of the rice fields, wild flowers, and the majestic Fansipan mountain ranges in the backdrop.

We will experience the day-to-day lives of the local farmers, minority children, and get to play with the pristine rivers carving through the rice fields in Hoang Lien National Park.

Full day tour combining (1) tramway ride to the Fansipan mountaintop, (2) hiking 600 steps down from the peak, (3) tramway ride back to town, and (4) touring the famous Cat Cat village after lunch.

Situates 100 km from Sapa, Bac Ha market is the largest for farmers of northwestern Vietnam. Bac Ha market which takes place every Sunday is famous for the originality and authenticity that mountainous farers of Vietnam still preserve.

More than a place for buying and selling, but visiting Bac Ha is also an opportunity for people from different ethnicities to come and socialize, for relatives to reunite after a long time apart, for women to demonstrate their beautiful traditional costumes and even for lovers to find their soulmates.

The market itself is a gathering place for the many ethnic minority tribes such as the H'Mong, Dao, Tay, Nung and Phu La to trade and sell their crafts. The market is famous for providing handmade goods, many different types of local wines, food such as Thang Co (horse stew), and for trading animals including horses, dogs, birds, goats, cattle, chickens, ducks and especially water buffalo.
