You can check out a haunted covered bridge, shop in picturesque downtown Stowe, at one-of a-kind stores, view quintessential New England sights, such as gazebos, steepled churches, quaint gingerbread homes, and a babbling brook running throughout the town. You can explore the Trapp Family Lodge, from the Sound of Music fame, where you can visit their gift store, learn some history, and eat food produced on the premises, with mountain views from your table. We also go on a gondola ride, seeing spectacular mountainside views as you glide up to the highest peak in Vermont. Smuggler's Notch is a must see, with spine-tingling turns through a mountain pass. Another popular stop is the famous ice cream factory, Ben and Jerry's, where you will have a choice of 30 different flavors. You will also be able to see the humorous graveyard of flavors that flopped and died.
