Enjoy the stunning land and seascape on this drive down to Key West, and learn interesting stories as we pass along the way. The "Overseas Highway" was a series of bridges that connected 43 islands with 42 bridges, with amazing views of the Gulf of Mexico on one side, and the Atlantic Ocean on the other. We'll keep an eye out for the endangered "Key Deer", a very small species of Whitetail deer that have adapted to the Keys. We'll also cross the "Seven-Mile Bridge"! Once we arrive in Key West, we'll stop at the "Southernmost Point in the USA", a marker for some great photos. Then we explore the island by car, to the beachfront, Mallory Square, and the quaint shotgun houses made from the wood of shipwrecks. Enjoy a stroll along Duvall Street to Mallory Square. This was where salvaged goods from shipwrecks were brought to auction. Today, these buildings are shops, bars, cafes, art galleries, museums, and many more delightful places to visit.
We will take the Florida Turnpike to Florida City, and a chance for a Coffee Break. Then, we will drive through the Everglades to Key Largo, watching for Osprey and wading birds. Soon we will be on the "Overseas Highway", passing small fishing marinas, boatyards, resorts and gift shops, as each island competes for attention. I will have a list of interesting optional stops along the way, based on your interests! You have time to enjoy the beach, visit the Shipwreck Museum at Mallory Square, or join the crowd for the Duvall Street "Pub Crawl", which means shopping and strolling your way to the marina to watch the sunset (time permitting and depending on the time of year). Select from many attractions to visit, such as the Hemingway House, the Shipwreck Museum, the Mel Fisher Museum or the Truman White House. On the way back, you may want to stop and try the best key lime pie in the Keys!

I use a beautiful, spacious, luxury GMC Yukon XL with leather seats, 3 rows that carry 1 guest in front, 3 in the 2nd row (bench seat) and 3 in the 3rd row, with 45 square feet of luggage/cargo space behind the 3rd row. Total guest capacity is seven, unless seating space is taken for luggage. The SUV is fully insured with commercial passenger/limousine insurance, and is authorized for Palm Beach, Broward and Miami-Dade counties. Add $100 if you have 5, 6 or 7 guests. More than 7?
