Did you know that more than 80 percent of Mackinac Island is a state park for you to explore? You will not observe from a distance on this tour. We will wander out of downtown and off the paved trails to the island's interior. I will share with you a uniquely local perspective on Mackinac Island history, culture, and legends, while we explore highlights and off the beaten path hidden gems. In addition, my tours can be customized according to your interests. It's the unpaved trails that hold Mackinac Island's best kept secrets in trust for those who truly appreciate them. Ask questions, enjoy the scenery, and learn along the way.
Our two-hour hiking tour starts at Marquette Park. From there, we will hike to: - Crow's Nest - Robinson's Folly - Lover's Leap - Arch Rock - Sugar Loaf - Point Lookout - Fort Holmes - Skull Cave - Town Lookout/Anne's Tablet While we explore, visitors will learn about the history and legends of these special places. The 2 hour hiking tour may also be customized to your interests.
