Windsor is not just a castle. Windsor has been many things, a home to medieval chivalry, royal elegancy and the home of British traditions. Windsor is the oldest and the largest inhabited castle in the world attracting millions of visitors from the world.

You can enjoy the view of the Guards marching into Windsor Castle in Windsor Town. Windsor may be one of the best spots where you can be a witness of this Royal ritual performed by Seven British Army Regiments serving her Majesty.

A few years after he had invaded Britain, the Windsor Castle story begins with William the Conqueror around 1070 AD. In Windsor on a steep calcareous cliff he chose to build a fortress to watch the enemy come from far away.

Changing Guard Ceremony takes place inside the Castle. It's one of England's major Royal Life ceremonies. The march starts at around 10:45 a.m. and the ceremony takes place at 11 a.m. in the morning (unless specified and if the weather permits). Windsor Castle remained a fortress more than a royal house for nearly three centuries. Edward III's dream changed that completely into a more heroic England, as we will find out. Therefore, we can say that, his greatest achievement was Windsor Castle itself.

Lower Moat Garden may be one of the most beautiful and secluded gardens in Windsor. The garden is beautifully maintained and designed with a lawn and rocks. The combination of the castle and garden makes you feel that you are in an English fairy tale

Entrance to the Moat Garden is not included in your ticket. Visitors should pay a small amount to enter the garden. It is totally worth it.

During our tour, we will examine how a castle transforms in to a palace style and when we mention about transformation, we need to take a closer look George IV era to see the exterior, height of the Round Tower and massive masonry of the exterior of the castle.

Welcome to my tour gallery. Today, our private tour starts from Windsor. 2019 is the 200th anniversary of the birth of Queen Victoria, and Windsor has a direct connection to the Queen. Like Buckingham Palace, the statue of Queen Victoria welcomes visitors from all over the world.

It's forbidden to take pictures in State Apartments. They are the heart of Windsor Castle with priceless, fantastic, ostentatious collections of the Royal Family members, packed with jewels which also indicate the lives of kings and queens who helped shape these apartments in their different ways.

The jewel of English Heritage: Stonehenge has been a source of fascination for thousands of years. Many people, both past and present, have devoted their lives attempting to unravel the mysteries of this extraordinary place. This is why we are all here today …right? Today we will try to find some answers about the cremation cemetery, and how the sarsen stones were added and aligned to mark the mid-summer (June 21 @ 16:54) and mid-winter (December 22 @ 04:19) solstices. These two natural boulders are sarsen and bluestone, the two stone-types used to build Stonehenge. By touching them, we can feel the difference. Can you move this stone? Let's give it a try.

One of the most important remnants in the museum is Stonehenge Man, who was born 500 years before the earliest stone monument appeared at the site. His face was reconstructed from the area's 5500-year-old skeleton. Forensic analysis has enabled scientists to create the most lifelike model of a British prehistoric individual. Impressive!

Right in front of the visitor center of Stonehenge, a model village has been constructed, with mud and thatch huts showing what life would have been like for people at the time the site was first constructed. Can you guess for how many years this village accommodated the people of Stonehenge?

Stonehenge is perhaps the most famous of the ancient astronomical monuments found around the world. The stones were formed and built to frame at least two major events; the annual solar cycle-midwinter solstice sunset and the midsummer sunrise at the summer solstice. The sun rises from behind the Heel Stone on the summer solstice, on June 21st, where its first light shines into Stonehenge's heart. What about the winter solstice? I have one more story to tell you. Bath goes back to Roman times and we are here, today, to explore this beautiful Georgian town. We will explore the Roman Hot Springs and the Pump Room. Let's find out how people have been enjoying Bath for thousands of years. Are you ready to feel the "Georgian elegance" with me in the city? Then, let's go!

Parade Gardens is one of the best examples of a Victorian Public Garden. The gardens overlook the Pulteney Bridge and Pulteney Weir on the banks of the Avon River. The flower bedding screens are some of the best in Britain. But, hang on! Bath is routinely banned from the "Britain in Bloom" Contest. Why? Keep following me, please :)

No visit to Bath would be complete without at least a short insight into the beautiful Bath Abbey. A Church from wool? It sounds very "Cotswolds style" Bath Abbey is the last medieval Church built in Britain 500 years ago. It's a brand new one :) Also lets hear why people call the Abbey as "The lantern of the West". Right!.. Here is the reason to be in this lovely town. Bath is famous for its hot springs. It was a popular spa town for the ancient Romans. The terrace was completed in 1897 and it's the date the Roman Baths reopened to the public but the history of Bath goes back to 860 BC when the Celtic King Bladud discovered the curative effect of the mud & spa. The story begins then.

Here in this picture, you see 46 Celsius degree surplus hot spa water from the spring, which pours into a Roman drain and then flows into the river. In the first century, the Romans built natural baths around the spring and built a temple dedicated to the goddess Sulis Minerva. "Minerva is the patron goddess... in her temple, the eternal flames never whiten into ash...", these were the words of the Roman writer Solinus in the 3rd Century AD.

During our visit, we will be witnessing the rising and falling of the Roman Baths. Throughout our tour we will examine life and death in Aquae Sulis, the worshipping of the Gods, impressive curses written on lead or pewter, monumental buildings, a temple courtyard, the altar, how the Romans controlled the water, gemstones in the drain, The Great Bath, and the Roman mosaic floor. We will also take a closer look for caldarium, tepidarium, frigidarium and natatio, the west baths, and the hypocaust system.

You will have the opportunity to taste this 10,000 year old spring water. To be honest, it is not the taste you are expecting, however, the mineral composition of the water is complex. Sulphate, Calcium, Chloride, Sodium, Bicarbonate, Magnesium, Silica, Potassium, Stronium, Fluoride, Bromide, Iron, Ammonium, Manganese, Boron, Iodine, Barium, Nickel, Zinc, and Selenium are just what your body needs. (Not suitable for pregnant women and children under 7)

The Pump Room, an elegant Georgian Saloon above the Roman Baths, is another reason to visit beautiful Bath. They offer the best afternoon tea experience or a chance to raise a bubbly in this neo classical grandeur. It's a great quintessentially English experience in this Georgian town. Reservations are recommended, which and I can gladly arrange for you.

It is time to sample the regional and fresh tastes of Bath. You will find delicious fudge consisting of butter, milk and sugar, which is now considered a traditional British recipe. The best of all is prepared right before your eyes. Do you want to give it a try? It is not the same that you have in the States, and I am sure you will enjoy the difference!

The three entrance Circus is a typical Georgian Square by architect John Wood the Elder, built between the years of 1754 and 1768. The Jane Austen Centre is just a walking distance away. I houses a permanent exhibition of film costumes and books that tell the story of the author's time in Bath.

Most of the buildings in Bath, from 18th Century local architects, were totally inspired by the Italian style. The Royal Crescent goes back to 1770's and is considered the very first Georgian condos. There is an optical illusion in here that is related to the posh address, which is "Number one, Royal Crescent". You will be surprised when I reveal it.

Windsor Castle's Inner Hall, created by George IV in the 1820s as a space to receive official guests, has been restored and opened to the public. Now, for the first time since its closure by George's niece, Queen Victoria, the Inner Hall serves its original purpose as a magnificent welcome area for visitors to the Castle. The opening of the Inner Hall reinstates the sequence of spaces linking the visitor entrance on the North Terrace with the State Entrance on the south side.
