This is a 3 hour customized nearly half
day tour with a stop for refreshments .

We ride the through Savannah's Historic District, drive by Colonial Park Cemetery and majestic homes off the beaten path. It is my answer for those who really want to see a lot.

It also includes major tour sites: the 1st street- River Street and its famous monuments; at least 5 of Savannah's historic squares. Monuments to local figures are part of this tour. The Mother church of Georgia and Mickve, Israel, Georgia's 1st Jewish congregation. Savannah's Fragrant Garden created for blind people and a few famous movie sites are along the route. I will share with you the origin of haint blue homes and show you a few of them. This tour answers many of the questions you have about Savannah and brings new ones to mind.

Savannah History Walking Tour

Take a good long look and enjoy the view, time travelers!

Savannah has many unique characteristics. One of them is the fact that you can walk in a straight line from north to south and move visibly forward in time. We won't really warp so much as amble from where it all began, the Savannah River, to the Historic District's southern extreme, Forsyth Park. We'll be starting in 1733, hopping ahead and sideways through the 18th, 19th, and 20th centuries, and ending where the city ended at the start of the Civil War.

If you so choose, you can also take an hour for lunch (bringing the total duration up to 5 hours) and/or tour one museum along our route. You will have to pay separately for their admission. If you pick one of the house museums, their guided tours typically run one hour long.
