Full Day History and Culture Private Tour: Mining and Gold Country - from Denver

We start off with a tour of historic downtown Dnever. We then explore the spectacular Red Rocks Park with its' majestic views of Denver overlooking the amphitheater where just about every famous Rock musician have played. We'll visit Idaho Springs, an authentic historic mining town where miners brought their skills and established the town. Let's drive by Central City and the ghost town of Nevadaville, where you will see old Victorian homes, the old Opera house and the Teller hotel. This area was once called the "richest square mile in the world. In Nevadaville you will see remains of the old mining town. Only about five homes actually have people living in town. On the way down we will drive down Coal Creek Canyon and into Golden where we can have a cowboy lunch. We may also stop and stroll through the beautiful town of Golden, which once was the state Capitol. In the summer I take a tube and float down stream in the Clear Creek White Water. This is the water that Coors claims it uses in its beer
