Hello! I can't wait to share my deep love of Chicago with you. An actor, photographer, and history...
Itinerary not perfect? Message Sylvie S. to build a tour that’s just right for you.
Have you ever wondered where some of the wealthiest Chicagoans chose to live at the end of the 19th Century? Do you want to see a pre- Great Chicago Fire house? Are you curious about what makes this neighborhood so special (and yes, Mohammed Ali and Former President Obama are two names that come to mind)? Then join me on a two-hour walking tour of this quiet neighborhood filled with large yards and beautiful architecture.
- We will meet in front of one of Frank Lloyd Wright's bootlegged houses, the Blossom House, at 4858 S Kenwood. - From there, we will meander through 48th St to Kimbark, 49th to Woodlawn, up and down Greenwood (Notable houses on the route include the McArthur house, G.L. Miller house, Bouton house, Frankenthal house, Mohammed Ali, Magerstadt house, JJ Dau house, the Obama Chicago residence...) - We will take 50th street to see a pre-Chicago Fire house before walking up and down Ellis, anchored by the Rosenwald and Swift mansions, and proceed to Drexel Boulevard, where time permitting, we will see the Ryerson house and the McGill Mansion - We will end the tour in front of Bobby Franks house at Ellis and Hyde Park/51st Street.

This is all on foot. I do have a chair cane available for someone needing to sit down along the way.

This is the Blossom House, and we will meet in front, just north of the Kenwood Community Park.
