I will take you on a panoramic tour of my home city of London, taking in many of the most iconic landmarks. You will enjoy an entertaining, fun and factual commentary stopping at many popular locations including Westminster Abbey, St Paul's Cathedral, Buckingham Palace, Tower of London and much, much more.
I will take you where buses cannot go and you will discover the REAL London and some of it's hidden secrets with a knowledgeable London "Cabbie" who really knows the City.
I will collect you from your hotel, or any other agreed London location, and we will trace back 2000 years of history together to London's Roman foundations and travel through time to the modern day metropolis that London has become.
As well as some hidden gems we can also include any particular requests you may have to make your day as individual, special and memorable as possible.
This is the extended 6 hour tour which includes a complimentary hour break for lunch (thereby becoming a 7 hour tour)

During the medieval period, native Cotswold sheep were famous throughout Europe for their heavy fleeces and high quality of wool. Even today, sheep on the hillside is one of the classic Cotswold images.

See London with a local lady who has lived in this wonderful city all her 50 years. This tour can be arranged around you so you finish in a great location for your afternoon plans, feel free to send me your bespoke requests. We'll start with the main sights around Buckingham Palace and Horse Guards seeing the guards movements between 3 locations*
and with beautiful St James Park, possibly one of my favourite Royal Parks in Central London.

After Westminster, Big Ben and Abbey, we will move our tour onto the West End area, enjoying the buzz of Trafalgar Square, National Gallery (see inside + some paintings), Piccadilly Circus, Leicester Square and Soho where you have many lunch options to choose

Finish at Covent Garden with a local pub if you wish. You can continue your afternoon at the market stalls or I can walk you to the British Museum if you wish.

The area known as Westminster in London is a place of huge historical significance for the country. Composed of great institutions and famous streets, many visitors will see each part in isolation. This tour is different; it brings the separate elements together creating a more rounded picture. Westminster Abbey is a fabulous building of historic significance for the country as a whole. It is the site for royal occasions, weddings, coronations and burials. The Houses of Parliament, also known as the Palace of Westminster, symbolises Great Britain. The decisions made within its rooms as well as in the thoroughfare of Whitehall, sometimes known as the "Corridors of Power" have shaped Britain.

Together we'll explore the area whilst I bring the stories of buildings, memorials and influential historic characters together. By the end of the tour you'll see how this small patch of land has been the epicentre of power having "punched beyond its weight" in its influence in the UK as well as across the world.

Experience the main Changing of the Guard ceremony (not Tuesday, Thursday or Saturday) or the smaller ceremony at Horse Guards. I know the best places to go and the timing down to the minute to make sure you get the best experience! Stroll through a magnificent royal park and historic square and stop to take photos at the best spots. Finish by exploring Trafalgar Square, home to two major, free to enter, art galleries and close to many exciting places to eat.

A half day walking tour of many of London's most famous sights

London has a fantastic history dating back to Roman times when it was named Londinium. Our tour of the history City of London will uncover the beginnings of the city and how it evolved during its many challenges during over 2, 000 years. Private groups will be personally be guided by me through the area enabling the inquisitive traveller to easily engage with my city's rich culture.

We start at London's famous St Paul's Cathedral, which is the fifth version of St Paul's since 604 AD. We take a walk through the narrow streets of the former site of the Blackfriars Dominican Priory and Shakespeare's indoor theatre. We may take a drink at a beautiful Art Nouveau pub before continuing past the notorious Bridewell Prison. Onwards to the site of the first printing press, we then emerge onto Fleet Street, the home of journalistic London. Maybe a quick drink at one of the oldest pub interiors in London before passing Dr Johnson's House and continuing up the the Royal Courts and Lincoln's Inn where we finish.

Starting at your central London hotel, my Downton Abbey Tour will take you to the unforgettable locations of the hit TV series and explain how the series went from being Sunday night viewing in the UK to a global smash.

The tour will visit familiar sites such as Yew Tree Farm (home to the Drew family and later Mr Mason which is my favourite place on the tour!) Downton Village where you will have the chance to visit the church where Lady Mary and Lady Edith were married, and of course the real Downton Abbey - Highclere Castle, where I will help you explore the castle before giving you time to explore the grounds and the gift shop at your leisure.

Why pick this tour? Because I've been coming to Highclere since I was a child! My Grandparents used to visit here once a year and would often take me with them - I'll even point out the tree that we used to park under!
